How do I adjust the air release?
Air release needle valve is
located on the face plate of the DP2000A. In most cases, this
would be in the back of the computer. With a screwdriver, turn
the valve clockwise to decrease air flow and counter-clockwise to
increase air flow. For example, if a measurement takes a total of
40 seconds to release the air, then turn the screw a quarter of a
turn or less counter-clockwise. This may take a few measurements
until you obtain the range of 25 to 35 seconds.
What do I do if the unit does not pump up the cuff?
If the screen displays "pump" and
the cuff does not inflate, recheck the hosing and make sure that
there are no kinks. If the cuff inflates slightly but not fully,
then it may be possible that the cuff has a leak somewhere. Send
unit with cuff in for repairs service.( A RMA number msut be
obtained). Verify that the pump is engaged when starting the
measurement. If the pump is not engaged when it is supposed to,
please contact the Technical Support Department.
How do I set the jumpers?
You must set the
jumpers to the specific setting in order for the software to
identify it on a particular communication port. Please refer to
the following diagram.

I get a communication error when I run comcheck. What do I do now?
Verify that your DynaPulse
software is compatible with your computer operating system. V3627
will work in Windows 95, Windows 98, and also with the higher
speed Pentium II systems.
Verify that the jumpers are set
for the correct communication port you want to use. The default
settings are Com 4, IRQ 5. Refer to the Diagram above.
If the comcheck feature under
the Options menu identifies the port, but continues to give a
communication error message upon measuring, follow these
instructions:
In Windows 95 and 98, go to
Start/Settings/System/Device Manger/ Ports/ Port
Identified(1,2,3, or 4)/Port settings/ Advanced. Remove check
mark next to Use FIFO Buffers and click OK. Now go back to the
DynaPulse program and run comcheck first. Once it identifies the
port, try to take a measurement. If this fails go back to your
Advanced Port Settings and replace the check mark next to Use
FIFO Buffers. Lower the settings for transmitting and receiving
buffers. It should be set at 1 or all the way to the left. Retry
measurment.
When I take a measurement, I get the message "Air Release too fast." How do I fix that?
Refer to "How do I adjust the
air release?"
